Definition

Since January 2020, index calculated on the base of off-road diesel selling prices, excluding VAT, for the deliveries under 5,000 litres, monthly average (source: DGEC), taking into account the French Excise Duty on Commercial Diesel (TICPE) applying on diesel fuel for the fonctionning of autonomous refrigerated units

Base 100 = December 2000

Until December 2019, this index mesured the variation of the sales prices excluding VAT, national means of home heating oil for deliveries under 27,000 litres and more.
The new series "Autonomous Refrigerator Fuel Index" extends the previous series "Home Oil Price index excl. VAT". It can be used without mathematical adjustment.

The CNR Autonomous Cooling Unit Fuel Index is available online at 0:00 on the penultimate day of the current month (excluding Sundays and public holidays). It includes weekly statements of non-road diesel prices (source DGEC), actually available on the date of publication.
The other statements for the current month communicated after this date are taken into account in the index for the following month. Over the year, therefore, the CNR index takes into account all weekly non-road diesel price statements issued by the DGEC.
These methodological changes, implemented in April 2022, do not result in a break in the indexed time series.
